Pinion was our fifth restaurant in the Elite Bistro group, and we used crowdfunding to help bring it to life raising a record £50k within 59 minutes. We actually made a documentary about it which was shown on Channel 4: “The Rebel Chef” (you might be able to find it online somewhere still…)
When Pinion opened in 2018, there hadn’t been a new independent restaurant in the area for 30 years. But we knew things were changing and we had faith in the area. The Shakespeare North project was due to open and we wanted to be part of it and the regeneration of Prescot. We knew it would be a massive pull and you can see the results – Eccleston street is buzzing with new independents and there’s a real excitement in the community. Long may it continue.
Since opening, Pinion has made it into the Good Food Guide, has been written about in British Vogue. We’re proud to be the only restaurant in Prescot with a 1AA Rosette rating.
We serve uncomplicated, unpretentious, delicious food by a team who love what they do and want to make every dining experience feel special. Our seasonal menu features comforting bistro dishes as well as Elite Bistro classic like our Crème Brûlée. Plus our Sunday roast dinners are worth travelling for. In our opinion the best roast has:

We have our set menu available at lunch and early evenings, which we think is the best value you can find in Prescot. And since we’re only a minute walk from the newly completed £30M Shakespearean Theatre, it’s the perfect stop for pre-theatre dining.
We love seeing the whole family out dining with us, and our Kids menu has a lot more than just fish fingers on it!
